Creating a Practice

Creating a personal practice is an investment in one’s self. Strengths that are fostered from within, like a calm and logical mind, or a receptive and loving heart, are among many assets that invites us to turn life’s problems into opportunities.

A practice can be many things, making music, a ritual of gratitude, meditation, walking, Tai Chi, skiing, or mobility training. Regardless of the activity, it becomes a source of strength that balances us emotionally, physically, mentally, and socially.

A Practice supports us along our path. The path is a unique expression of our authentic selves. It may even be ritualistic, a routine that pulls us forward, especially during trying times. A regular practice will evolve our character as it challenges all aspects of our being.

Our practice may change as we change. A devotion to self care and self awareness, elevates our mood and our relationships. As we rise up, we can better lift up others.

A practice shows that you believe in your own worth, that you value yourself. Undertaking any healthy endeavour produces greater self-esteem and personal satisfaction.

It takes one small step to begin a practice and a memory of it’s benefits to maintain it. What starts out as an act of self improvement, eventually ripples out to help those around us.

A Practice trains the body, disciplines the mind, and opens the heart.

Through the journey of your practice, you get to know yourself, love yourself, and to love others unconditionally.

Practice is about unity, as we are all of the same breath, from the same energy.

Despite our differences we are all connected. The practice of choosing to see others as an extension of ourselves, is an act of grace, and the world will be more beautiful for it.
